SolaTeach is an online education and community support initiative dedicated to empowering Afghan girls, young women, and conflict-affected immigrants. We believe every girl and young person deserves the right to learn, heal, and shape their future—no matter their circumstances. Through our digital platform and New Roots USA initiative, we provide accessible, high-quality education, mental wellbeing support, and community integration programs that build skills, confidence, and a sense of belonging.
Our work directly contributes to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being, SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 5: Gender Equality, and SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities.
Our mission is to offer Afghan girls and other conflict-affected youth free, accessible learning and professional support. Through SolaTeach and New Roots USA, we provide English, digital skills, career training, and mental wellbeing support in safe online and community spaces—so they can study, find decent work, and support their families and communities.
Whether in Afghanistan or in countries like the United States, our vision is that young people affected by crisis can learn, heal, and feel they belong. We envision a future where every girl and young person has the opportunity to build skills, protect their wellbeing, and shape their own future with dignity and hope.
Our focus is not only on learning, but also on restoring a sense of hope and possibility—because even in silence and restriction, the desire to learn is still alive.
Building language skills for higher education and remote work.

Our New Roots USA initiative supports Afghans and other conflict-affected immigrants with services that help them integrate into their new communities, safeguard their mental wellbeing, and build career readiness for long-term stability.
We build pathways for Afghan girls & youth through digital learning, skills training, and global mentorship.
SolaTeach is proud to lead a youth-driven initiative supported by Global Changemakers through the Community Action Project grant. This program is dedicated to empowering Afghan girls who have been denied access to traditional education by creating safe, digital learning spaces where they can continue to learn, grow, and build their futures.
SolaTeach provides opportunities for Afghan girls to access English language training, digital literacy, and professional development skills. Through interactive online classes and mentorship, the project equips students to strengthen their knowledge, build confidence, and connect with higher education and career opportunities.
This project is proudly sponsored by Global Changemakers, whose support through funding, mentorship, and global networking has made SolaTeach possible. Their sponsorship enables us to not only deliver impact but also to amplify the voices of Afghan girls worldwide.

Through New Roots USA, we help newcomers find belonging, build stability, and navigate life in countries like the United States. We combine community orientation with practical skill-building so families can settle confidently and support themselves.
We promote emotional wellbeing with accessible, culturally-aware support. Our sessions help participants understand stress, build resilience, and find trusted community connections—online and in-person where possible.
In Afghanistan, millions of girls have been barred from secondary school and university since 2021—shut out of classrooms not by war or poverty, but simply for being girls. Their futures narrow to early marriage or low-paid work, and a whole generation risks losing its sense of purpose and possibility. SolaTeach exists to quietly, practically change that by providing free online learning in English, digital skills, and career development so girls can keep studying and reopen paths to education and income.
At the same time, many Afghans and other conflict-affected families are rebuilding their lives in countries like the United States, facing trauma, isolation, and economic stress. Through New Roots USA, we support these immigrants with community integration, mental wellbeing sessions, and career-focused training—helping them find belonging, build stability, and create new futures for themselves and their families.
